About Alex Stanciu
Hi, I'm Alex.
I'm a CTO, full-stack developer and founder based in Bucharest. Most of my work happens where product decisions meet code: shaping what to build, structuring the system, and building it myself.
I rebuilt Thematic's separate WordPress sites into one connected ecosystem with a shared admin system. I built the whole membership platform behind Nookyard, the daytime club I co-founded. I created Mornning, a personal morning briefing, and founded offlocals, which connects brands with real-world communities. As CTO, I've also worked on Xira, a tool that tailors a CV to a specific job.
I also founded Briedo, a client-intake platform that is currently paused. What I learn along the way goes into Startup Fără Ambalaj, where I write — in Romanian — about building products without the polish.
Outside the code, I host Monday Walk Hour, Cafeaua de Sâmbătă and Before You Build: small, regular reasons for people in Bucharest to meet, get honest feedback and maybe build something together.
